About Saving Salmon
A new podcast bringing you stories of wild Atlantic salmon and all who fight for them — Indigenous leaders, grassroots conservationists, scientists, policymakers, anglers and fishing communities. Across cultures and coastlines, united to restore what sustains us and to protect these ancient messengers of the North Atlantic.
ASF staff did not tell journalist Bob Keating what to write or who to interview, they wanted a deep-dive into the enormous challenges wild salmon and other sea run fish face. This podcast is the result of six months of field work, thousands of kilometres traversed, interviews with professionals and volunteers committed to research, river restoration and advocacy for wild salmon. We hope you enjoy the Saving Salmon podcast.

For more than 75 years, the Atlantic Salmon Federation has led the global movement to conserve and restore wild Atlantic salmon, whose survival signals the health of rivers, oceans, forests, and wild places we love. Salmon conservation is about more than a species. It's an investment in planetary health.
We’ve restored and reconnected more Atlantic salmon habitat than any organization on Earth. We’ve built the most comprehensive, long-term database of wild salmon migration, halted the salmon’s decline and set the stage for recovery.
